The Los Angeles District of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) will feature Private Investigators
Jan B. Tucker and Joe Paolella speaking on “Inside U.S. v. Pellicano: Straight out of Film
Noir,” on April 25, 2007 at the Plum Tree Inn, 913 N Broadway, Chinatown (Los Angeles). The event will begin
with a social hour at 6:30 p.m. with dinner and program at 7:00 p.m. Dinner and program charges are $25.00 for members,
$30.00 for non-members. RSVP to Melanie Paek, 626.284.3070.
Tucker and Paolella have been working as court appointed defense investigators for Anthony Pellicano’s co-defendant,
Daniel Nicherie, who recently pleaded guilty in the case but who has given notice of appeal of his sentence. Tucker
is serving a fourth term as Chairman of the Board of CALI, the world’s largest organization of private detectives.
Joe Paolella is a retired Secret Service agent and world renowned Polygraph Examiner who guarded President Kennedy during
the Cuban Missile Crisis.
According to Tucker, “what’s going on behind the scenes in this case makes your average Film Noir
mystery look like Donald Duck. The players include everybody from the Bonanno Crime family to the Hungarian Mafia.”
